UNeDocs Creating and Processing

Export ‘Digital Paper’ & Transport Documents

Why Use UNeDocs?
Goods can move no faster than the documents that describe them - and consignment delays are more often caused by delayed documents than for any other reason. Until now, the international trading market has not been able to exchange information electronically as freight forwarders-importers, Governments, Banks and Traders use vastly different, incompatible computer systems. Instead, the core information exchange is carried out through traditional paper systems. The UN estimates that this is costing trade a staggering $0.5 trillion per year. UNeDocs are set to change all this....

UNeDocs will be similar to the existing SITPRO SAD, FIATT forms that we are all familiar with and will still be printable to paper - however they will be created in XML - eXtensible Mark-up Language - the new language of the web which is facilitating other major advances in e-commerce. UNeDoc’s will not only be deliverable by email or a secure extranet link, but with a little help from an XML interface like LaserNet the information content can be captured and automatically uploaded to any IT application without the need for manual input. And this is what all the excitement is about. By allowing document information to be passed electronically, costs will be dramatically reduced at every link in the supply chain. Even more importantly cross border procedures will be accelerated which in turn will reduce supply and payment cycles. And that has to be good news for everyone.

How LaserNet XML helps
Creating UNeDocs:
LaserNet XML interface provides easy to use tools that simplifies the process of transforming legacy data, or standard XML into valid XML UNeDocs for electronic transmission via any existing email or intranet, extranet web-link.

Creating printable UNeDocs:
LaserNet provides an inexpensive solution for both the receiver and sender to convert XML files into printable documents.

Importing & Processing UNeDocs:
LaserNet automatically converts UNeDocs into the XML or CSV format that your application can readily accept. In other words with LaserNet virtually all IT applications can be 'tuned' to receive UNeDocs, without the need for expensive application changes.

Why use LaserNet?
The ease of use and lower cost of LaserNet, enables all companies - even those with limited IT resource to benefit from electronic data exchange using UNeDocs.
Manages XML UNeDocs alongside EDI - EDIFACT, enabling EDIFACT users to continue to use their existing EDI links whilst being able to communicate with other trading partners via XML.
Enables UNeDocs to be transmitted via existing email, intranet, extranet links. No additional hardware required.
Provides drag & drop XML translation and mapping tools eliminating complex time consuming scripting.
